KLIMT: THE GOLDEN DREAM

The immersive exhibition dedicated to the hypnotic and revolutionary Viennese artist who made the use of gold his unmistakable stylistic signature arrives in Bilbao. The power of technology, combined with the splendor of Gustav Klimt’s art, will take the visitor to a world of enchantment and wonder, breaking down limits and barriers.

What can I expect from the event?

Klimt: The Golden Dream” is a retrospective exhibition of the Viennese artist Gustav Klimt, where technology is used to bring culture closer. There are 360º immersive projections, virtual reality, interactive installations, a time machine… all that’s left is to discover what it is… by coming!

Where is the experience held?

The experience takes place at Next Museum Bilbao, located at Blas de Otero Kalea, 54, Deusto, 48014 Bilbo, Bizkaia.

How long does the experience last?

To give you an approximate idea, people usually spend between 1 hour and an hour and a half in this experience.

Can I enter at any time?

No, due to capacity limitations, each ticket is linked to a specific time slot, which is every half hour. Access is allowed up to 10 minutes after the start of the session. Being able to join another time slot depends on the availability of space.

Is there a cloakroom?

No, unfortunately there is no cloakroom.

"Is there virtual reality?

This experience offers the option to enjoy a 7-minute virtual reality sensory experience. This experience is available in Spanish and English and is not recommended for individuals who suffer from epilepsy, dizziness, or cervical issues.

In which languages will the experience be available?

The experience will be available in Spanish, Basque, and English.

Can I bring animals?

Pets are not allowed in the premises. Support or service animals are permitted.

Is parking available?

Unfortunately, there is no parking at the exhibition.

Will there be strobe lights?

Access to the center is not recommended for people with epilepsy.

Will there be restrooms available?

This place has restrooms, please ask our staff on-site for directions.

Is there an age requirement?

All ages are welcome to this experience! Please note that the space is accessible for strollers. However, the virtual reality experience is for children aged 6 and up, accompanied and supervised by a responsible adult (although younger children can also enter the room, as long as they are supervised).

Are there original pieces?

No, there are no original pieces in this exhibition. Everything you will find are high-quality images of the pieces.

Is it an accessible space?

The space is adapted for people with reduced mobility. For individuals with visual impairments, we offer audio guides that they can use on their mobile devices with their own headphones

Can I take photos or record the exhibition?

Photography is allowed throughout the venue, as long as it is done without flash.

Where can I inquire about lost items?

We recommend asking the staff on-site if they have found your belongings. If you realize after leaving, you can call or send a WhatsApp message to the museum’s number: 638 625 443.

Is there an audio guide?

Yes, there is an audio guide available. You can request the QR code from the staff on-site. Please note that you will need to use your own mobile devices and headphones.

Can I eat or drink inside the museum?

No, eating or drinking is not allowed.
